Emma & Jack’s wedding at The White Hart in Great Yeldham was the perfect example of a relaxed, joy-filled summer celebration. With warm sunshine, vibrant colours, and a laid-back atmosphere, their day unfolded naturally from start to finish.

Outdoor Ceremony in the Summer Sunshine
The White Hart is so perfect for morning prep – there’s plenty of space for everyone to prep on the morning and, as both Jack and Emma were on site, it was fabulous to be able to get shots of them both getting ready for the day. They opted for a beautiful outdoor ceremony, set against the backdrop of The White Hart’s garden. With the sun shining and guests gathered outside, it created a relaxed and intimate feel right from the start. The florals by Berries & Basil were incredible and gave the perfect pop of colour to the greenery of the lawn and gardens.
Outdoor ceremonies like this are perfect for natural, documentary wedding photography — full of genuine reactions, movement, and those fleeting moments that won’t be in your shot list.
Bright Summer Florals and Champagne Tones
Emma & Jack chose bold, vibrant florals in shades of orange and red, bringing a real sense of energy and warmth to the day. Paired with the soft champagne tones of the bridesmaids’ dresses, everything felt beautifully balanced.
These kinds of details add so much personality — and on a bright summer day, they really come to life in photographs. Emma & Jack also followed my confetti advice and went for the most amazing bold and colourful, floaty confetti with guests grabbing handfuls from a full basket. You know you’ve done it right when you’re picking pieces out of your mouth and hair afterwards, ha!
Relaxed Drinks Reception and Outdoor Speeches
After the ceremony, guests spilled out into the garden to enjoy drinks in the sunshine. The atmosphere was easy-going and full of laughter — exactly what you want from a summer wedding.
Speeches took place outside on the patio, which made them feel even more personal and informal. It also meant everyone was relaxed, engaged, and fully part of the moment — perfect for capturing natural reactions.
A Unique Cheese Wedding Cake (With a Personal Touch)
Instead of a traditional cake, Emma & Jack opted for a cheese wedding cake — a great choice for something a little different.
Topped with a polaroid photo of their pup, it was one of those small but meaningful details that made the day feel completely personal to them.
Golden Hour at The White Hart Great Yeldham
As the day began to cool, we were treated to a beautiful summer sunset.
The light in the gardens at The White Hart in Great Yeldham is perfect for those relaxed, natural portraits — nothing posed or forced, just a short wander and a chance for Emma & Jack to take it all in together.
It’s often one of the calmest, most memorable parts of the day.
A Packed Dance Floor to End the Night
The evening finished exactly how it should — with a completely packed dance floor.
From the first dance the energy didn’t drop. Guests filled the space, the atmosphere was electric, and it made for some of the most fun, unfiltered moments of the day. Emma & Jack’s family and friends certainly knew how to have a great time!
