Rebecca & Alex chose to hold their ceremony outside in the glorious grounds of Vaulty Manor. The Essex sun showed up in full force – it was one of those beautifully hot summer days where everything feels golden and slow.

Guests cooled off with handheld fans as they watched Rebecca walk down the aisle. After the ceremony, guests spilled out onto the patio for a relaxed drinks reception. One of my favourite things about being a regular Vaulty Manor wedding photographer is knowing how the light falls across the courtyard during summer afternoons – it’s perfect for candid moments.

Sister Sax provided live entertainment during the drinks reception, bringing incredible energy to the patio. Rebecca & Alex laughed with friends, clinked glasses of fizz, and soaked in the moment while smooth saxophone sounds drifted through the warm air. When the Farmer Stole the Show – A Harvest Surprise Next Door

Just when everyone thought the day couldn’t get more memorable, the neighbouring farmer began cutting the wheat field right beside Vaulty Manor during evening drinks.

The sound of the machinery had guests squealing in surprise, while the kids ran to the wall waving enthusiastically as clouds of dust filled the air. It was chaotic, hilarious and completely unplanned – the kind of spontaneous moment that makes a wedding unique. As an experienced Essex wedding photographer, I’m always ready for the unexpected, and this scene produced some brilliantly joyful, story-filled images.

Golden Hour Portraits at Vaulty Manor

One of the reasons I love shooting weddings at Vaulty Manor in Essex is the access to open countryside and beautiful evening light. After the excitement of the wheat harvest next door, Rebecca & Alex slipped away for golden hour portraits.
