Sam & Katherine pretty much wrote their own rules for their wedding and just did all the things that made them, and their guests happy! And it really was a wild ride! Katherine and her bridesmaids prepped at the gorgeous Hanbury Manor Hotel not too far from The Barns at Lodge Farm and I made the most of the interior to get some fab detail shots. Meanwhile, Sam and the boys got ready in the perfect space created at the venue. The ceremony itself was held in the stunning Granary – a traditional 19th century timber framed barn – the very epitome of ‘rustic’ and a perfect backdrop! The newlyweds had opted to use The Grain Store for the reception and had decorated it to perfection with wonderful little touches to delight guests of all ages, from a tipi with crafting & sweets for the kids to personalised cookies for the grown ups! The table plan was simple but worked like a charm with intricate weaves of string pairing each guest to their table number and the use of clocks to tell guests the order of the day was genius! During the drinks reception guests were treated to incredible canapés by the always awesome Gather & Feast and they danced in the courtyard to the fantastic Sound with Us who ramped up the party atmosphere from the very beginning! I took full advantage of the stunning surroundings at the farm and along with Katherine & Sam’s uber cute pup Todd we got some awesome portraits! After more gourmet wonders, the most raucous speeches I think I’ve ever heard ensued and we were just in time (actually running full pelt across the farmyard!) to catch the sun as it dipped over the horizon! Evening high jinks were sparklers, cheesecake (by the incredible Pleesecakes!) in the face and copious shots before SouthWest Band kicked off the dancing in style! I have to say my cheekbones hurt from grinning as I said goodnight and left this fun loving crowd to party the night away! Katherine & Sam, what a day, and a pleasure to document!
