A Summer celestial themed at home tipi wedding with a warm orange palette, pampas grasses & jazz album & book cover inspired stationery
When Olivia and Howard got in touch and told me about their wedding plans I knew it was going to be right up my street! They met whilst working at Waterstones bonding over a shared love of books and music and now Olivia has her own gorgeous book shop and Howard runs a fabulous cocktail bar, Ginny’s with Olivia’s sister, both in the quaint Essex town of Maldon. They talked about getting married during lockdown and Olivia had her ring made before they were able to head off to Paris where Howard proposed officially at the top of the Eiffel Tower which as Olivia tells me is funny as it was very speedy, owing to the fact that they both hate heights!
When considering what their wedding was going to look like, Olivia and Howard were one step ahead of the 2023 trend and went for oranges, peaches, warm tones and dried pampas grasses. They even used their love of book covers and Jazz albums as inspiration for all their gorgeous stationery. The celestial theme comes into play as Olivia always tells Howard that she loves him to the moon and back and so, in her words, it’s a very Moony wedding!
I think you’ll agree with me when I say that the end result was nothing short of perfect and I can tell you that the day itself was also a joy, with both families giving me a warm welcome and a fabulous set of speeches that were both sincere and hilarious – you know a couple are very much loved when their guests love to talk about them so warmly.
