Ely Cathedral with a DIY, Boho Farm Wedding Reception, Bride wears Willowby by Watters. Essex Documentary Wedding Photographer.
Amber & Chris’s wedding was, well quite simply, a huge treat for me and everyone of their guests! The couple met whilst studying Music at York University and their love of music featured heavily during their exquisite wedding ceremony. This was the second time I’ve been lucky enough to photograph a ceremony in a cathedral and Ely didn’t disappoint – the sense of celebration was awesome as the couples friends (whom Amber had sung with) gave a spine-tingling performance before the newlyweds headed off back up the aisle. It also happened to be Ely Pride that day and the city was full of colour and celebration as guests threw confetti and we shot a few portraits with the imposing cathedral as the backdrop. Guests all hopped aboard the very cool vintage bus to head to Amber & Chris’s reception at Bedinghams Farm to enjoy lawn game and scones with cream and jam before sitting for some incredible food from Carpe Diem. There was such an incredible sense of family present, with jam favours made with love by the Brides Mum, the cake made by one of the Bridesmaids (who just so happens to be a fabulous pastry chef!) and many photographs of loved ones. The weather stayed on our side all day and rain stayed away until the evening but it didn’t stop Amber & Chris or their guests tucking into delicious crepes! What a gorgeous day and an absolute pleasure to document!
