A gothic inspired autumn village hall wedding.  Bride wears her Mother’s vintage dress.

I first met Robyn & Ian last Spring when I shot their pre-wedding session and from the beginning they came across as very much in love and with very definite ideas about how their wedding was going to be.  Robyn had a magnificent Pinterest board with the theme, in her words ‘Wild, gothic literature with a moody and dark colour scheme’ and yet it was still such a thrill when I arrived at the hotel on the morning of the wedding to see the dresses and the incredible flowers and it just got better as the village hall was quite simply breathtaking.

I think though my favourite images are Robyn putting on her dress – her Mum’s dress from her 1980’s wedding had been beautifully re designed and Mum’s reaction was so wonderful, as was Robyn’s best friends! So many happy tears at that point!

Robyn & Ian met at primary school in Year 3 so they really are childhood sweethearts, such a perfect love story!  They had involved so many of their friends on the day, it was such a wonderful, warm atmosphere at was plain to see not only their love for each other but everyone at their wedding were just so happy for them.

I think I’ll stop there and let the imagery speak for itself.  I’m sure you’ll agree that Robyn and Ian did a remarkable job bringing their together their vision and that wonderful little village hall was transformed perfectly!
