I know it’s chaos now. It won’t always be though. They won’t always fit in your lap.
One day, you’ll pick them up—and it’ll be the last time, though you won’t know it at the moment. Childhood slips through our fingers faster than we expect. The chubby hands and gappy grins, these are the details that define this fleeting chapter of life. Photographs have the power to freeze time, to hold onto the mess and the overwhelming love that fills your home right now. So before the toys are boxed up, before the bedtime stories end, lets capture who they are, and who you are, in this exact season of your lives. Because one day, these photographs will be more than memories, they’ll be your family’s story.

02. Why I do what I do

As a mum of 3 myself, I know first hand how fleeting those childhood moments are and, how the dynamics of family life is constantly evolving. When they’re little, the days feel endless but then, one day you’ll wake up and it’s just a memory. Let me document your family just as they are right now, so you’ll never forget their tiny hand in yours, or the weight of them in your arms. Spending a little time capturing some core memories for your children is truly a gift that will increase in value over the years, for them and for you.

If you’ve got a place in mind that is special to you and your family, absolutely let me know! Otherwise I have locations I’ve carefully selected based on seasons and ease of access I can suggest to you so you can choose where your shoot will take place.

I’ll travel anywhere in Essex, which is where my suggested locations are for outdoor shoots. If your home, or indeed your ideal outdoor location is further, do let me know as there will be an additional travel fee.

Ah, the Great British weather! Sadly, there are occasions when bad weather will stop play! I’ll be keeping a close eye on the weather forecast in the days leading up to your shoot, and, if it looks like an avoidable deluge or we could get blown away, we’ll reschedule for a mutually agreeable date.

Family photoshoots are all about capturing real connections. I’ll guide you through a mix of posed and candid moments, making sure everyone feels comfortable and at ease. It’s great if your little ones want to bring a favourite toy, bring a blanket too! Music can be fun so if they have a song they love, let me know and I can add it to my phone playlist so we can sing along!

It’s very important that you are all comfy. Dress for the season and consider that we might get muddy if we are outside during Autumn or Winter! Otherwise, if you are going for a colour palette, choose 3 or 4 harmonious colours and incorporate them into your outfit choices. Neutrals always look timeless too!

I’ll let you know what my current lead time is. This is very much dependant on what time of year your shoot is – Summer and Autumn are always busier! Once I’ve edited your images, I’ll create an online gallery for you and email you a link that will be only accessible using your email address. From here you can download your images to keep forever and, if you choose to, you can also order from a wide range of beautiful prints, albums and wall display products. Your gallery will be live for 3 months allowing you plenty of time to download your images and order any prints!
