A DIY, at home, English country garden wedding with pretty pastels & summer rain. Essex Documentary Wedding Photographer
High school sweethearts Georgina & Henry held their classic, elegant wedding back in June opting for a church ceremony and a reception in the beautiful gardens of Georgina’s family farm. This wedding was 3 years in the making, thanks to Covid quashing both their original 2020 date and then their 2021 date too so everyone was rooting for them to have the best day ever! It was a real family affair with Georgina’s mum doing the flowers and decor in the marquee, Henry’s mum arranging the flowers you can see in the church and one of Georgina’s sisters made the glorious cake too! You’ll see little nods the the diary farm with flowers in milk churns! There was quite a bit of rain during the day, though you wouldn’t think it as using my trusty weather app we managed to get pretty much all the outdoor shots in the bag before it chucked it down! They were never going to let some rain dampen spirits anyway!
There’s something so warm and personal about back garden weddings, and Sarah and I both felt so welcome by Georgina and Henry’s lovely families, its such a privilege to be invited into someones home to document a huge day for everyone involved! Perfection!
