Half way through August and we are well into the Summer Holidays. We’ve had a few adventures, the kind that Summer is made for. This particular day, we decided to head out to one of our favourite places, Mersea Island, the UK’s most easterly inhabited Island. Its perfect for rock pooling, crabbing, samphire foraging and best of all, has our favourite sea food restaurant! A couple of our nephews came along and the kids had a whale of a time just checking out the wildlife and we even got lucky and caught some crabs (don’t worry – they all got put back in their pools when we left!). We do love to be beside the sea!
