When Rachel & Dean first got in touch to tell me their wedding plans, it sounded pretty incredible, very personal and a lot of fun! I met up with them a few weeks prior to the big day and they showed me around Rachel’s parent’s garden which was just the perfect space for hosting a wedding! The day dawned warm and sunny and, after some fabulous prep at the house, we went down to the village church for the ceremony. The church itself was picture perfect, just charming and, as an added bonus, friends of Rachel’s parents owned the beautiful house next door and had generously allowed us to use their stunning gardens to take some portraits whilst they were on holiday! After that little treat, it was back to Rachel’s parents garden for drinks, lawn games, live music and exquisite canapés! The Tipi itself looked insane – Rachel had chose a riot of colour for her floral displays (and her amazing bouquet!) topped off with a gorgeous handwritten sign on the top table! An Italian feast followed, cooked up by the always incredible Linda at Gather & Feast (a big thank you to Linda who supplied me with coffee and sausage sandwiches in the evening!!), Rachel & Dean sure knew how to treat their guests!! Everyone who gave speeches did an amazing job, humour, tears, basically everything you’d want and this was topped off by a visit from an Ice Cream van so everyone was able to cool off! In the evening, the band were rocking, guests toasted marshmallows by the fire pit and Mid-Summer did not disappoint with her sunset and we hopped into a neighbouring field for a few more portraits in the wild grass. Rachel & Dean grabbed wedding planning by the horns and absolutely nailed it – a perfect Summer, back garden wedding, I just don’t think it could have been any better! Congrats again Rachel & Dean, documenting your day and meeting your lovely families and friends was just a pleasure!
