As an Essex-based documentary wedding photographer, I’m lucky to work across some of the most beautiful venues in East Anglia — and Bruisyard Country Estate in Suffolk is always one I’m thrilled to return to. This particular spring wedding at Bruisyard Country Estate was the perfect blend of romance and serenity — a day bathed in crisp blue skies, fresh spring greens, and that gentle feeling of new beginnings that only spring can bring.

Set within 700 acres of peaceful Suffolk countryside, Bruisyard Country Estate offers the most idyllic backdrop for a relaxed yet elegant wedding. The morning began in the beautiful manor house, where the bridal suite was filled with soft light and calm anticipation. Outside, the gardens were bursting with the first greens of the season, a palette that perfectly complemented the couple’s wistful, romantic theme.

As someone who has photographed at Bruisyard several times, I’ve learnt how the light shifts through the day — the soft glow through the trees in the morning, the wide-open skies in the afternoon, and that golden warmth that settles over the driveway at sunset. It’s a photographer’s dream, and it allows me to focus entirely on storytelling without having to think twice about where the best light will be.
