Charlotte & Martin tied the knot on a perfect late autumn day at the truly epic The Barns at Lodge Farm in Epping, and their wedding was every bit as atmospheric and beautiful as I’d hoped it would be.

I’d already met Charlotte & Martin earlier in the year for a relaxed pre-shoot, so I had a real sense of the mood they were going for. Add in the fact that the insanely talented Hayley from Starry Eyed Weddings was styling the day, and I knew this autumn wedding at The Barns at Lodge Farm was going to be something special. Spoiler: it absolutely did not disappoint.

Their goal was to feel like they were stepping into a gothic romantic fairytale, and honestly… job done.

The colour palette leaned into everything autumn does best — lush greens, deep reds, burnt oranges and rich, moody tones, paired with darker accents that embraced the season rather than fighting it. The result was immersive, romantic and incredibly striking.
