Well, what can I say about Katie & Dan?! A spectacular wedding with decor details that were an absolute feast for the eye, these guys seriously know how to have fun! I’m going to let Katie & Dan tell you their story in their own words, then, you can devour the gorgeous images!
“Katie and Dan’s story begins at one of Shoreditch’s finest establishments and most prestigious events: the Granby Street bi-monthly house party. Their eyes first met across the not so crowded room (the night was still young in house party terms) whilst Dan was playing a competitive game of beer pong. At the time Katie was dressed in a Salwar Kameez, having come from a Pakistani-Caribbean fusion wedding. Whilst most men may have given Katie and her unusual house party attire a wide birth Dan must have found her mysterious and intriguing as he came over to talk to her. Katie was impressed by Dan’s ability to hold a half decent conversation while simultaneously looking after his friend Nick, who would walk past them every 2 minutes holding a new form of alcohol and loudly slur “shots!” Katie thought the conversation had gone well having only managed to accidentally offend Dan and his Chinese heritage on one occasion. Therefore, she was slightly disappointed when they both left the party and he had not asked for her number. How unfortunate it would have been if the story had ended there…
Luckily for Katie, Dan only played hard to get for a brief amount of time and he later managed to acquire her number from a mutual friend. For their first date he took her to a cocktail bar where they consumed 8 cocktails and 8 shots between them. Similarly, on their second date they drank Sale e Pepe’s wine store dry. On proceeding dates they continued to get to know other, largely over alcohol and occasionally food was involved too. Katie’s good friend Claudia once asked her “how do you know you like him, you are always so drunk?” If asked now she would answer: “I just make sure I am always drunk” … after all they say that no great love story ever started with an orange juice…”
