If you’re planning an outdoor, woodland wedding, this is the perfect blog post for you to get some inspiration! Set in the heart of Essex at Captains Wood Barn, this whimsical wedding, was all about embracing nature, the bride, in a stunning floral gown, even arriving on a tractor to the ceremony. It’s set in 50 acres of glorious woods and you really feel like you’re miles from nowhere – even though Chelmsford is just a few miles away.
The Bride and her sister created all the florals by hand, a gorgeous personal touch. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a drinks reception on the lawn with plenty of traditional games including tug of war and Jenga whilst listening to music of the brilliant Three Mile Hill.
The barn looked incredible with rustic, woodland decor. This included pressed flowers in frames for table numbers, lanterns and dried flowers in brown glass vases. Even the cakes were home made! How lovely is that?!
The day ended with a spectacular golden hour so we hopped into the perfectly situated fields to take those all important sunset portraits!
